Election Year Greetings! The 2008 election season is under way! The year holds enormous promise for Democrats at the local, state, and national levels. YOU can play a part inmaking sure that the values and principles we share as Democrats are translated into election victories by sharing your time, talent, and treasure with the Kandiyohi County DFL. The traditional election year kick-off--precinct caucuses--has been moved up to February 5 this year. This is where grassroots democracy begins, and it's your opportunity to help pick the Democratic presidential candidate, become a delegate to the county convention (March 8), offer resolutions to the DFL Platform and/or Action Agenda, and the best part, meet your DFL neighbors! To learn where your caucus is located, go to the Minnesota Secretary of State web site <www.state.sos.mn.us> and click on the "Precinct Caucus Finder" link. Registration begins at 6:30 p.m. with the caucus convening officially at 7 p.m. Get out and advocate for your DFL issues and candidates!
